Since you're still using SP 2, maybe you're novice enough that doing a backup of your system, first, is what's most recommendable. change setting so it will not ask to install SP3 again. It is "page under construction" bannered when visited, AND, one is relocated to some lame site with no help listed at all on it... Checked the restore points and found that they are all there as expected with about 15 restore points.
